Telephone services hit

Services of about 600 telephone connections starting with `2573' in Singasandra, C.K. Nagar, Subhashnagar and Country Club connected to Hosur Road Exchange have been affected due to damage to underground cables. Restoration work is under way and it will be completed in a week, says a release.

Applications invited

Bangalore University has invited applications from eligible teachers of Bangalore University constituent and affiliated colleges for appointment of full-time `N.S.S. Programme Coordinator" on deputation basis for a two-year period. Special counters

Special counters for receiving income tax returns of salaried assesses and pensioners are being opened at the Central Revenue buildings on Queen's Road on all working days between 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and between 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. from July 17 to 31. Salary returns will continue to be received at the offices of the salary ranges at HMT Bhavan, Bellary Road, near Mekhri Circle.
