Kochi: The World Malayalee Council (WMC) will organise heart surgery for 50 needy children in connection with its global convention to be held in Kochi in August.

Those who need support could apply through the council's district committees, council's Kerala province chairman George Kulangara said. The council's Chennai province had already helped 50 poor children from Kerala to undergo heart surgery in association with the Madras Medical Mission.
