PYONGYANG: The Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Sunday strongly criticised a U.N. Security Council resolution on its missile tests, saying the DPRK will not be bound by the resolution. ``Our Republic vehemently denounces and roundly refutes the UNSC resolution,'' said a statement of the Foreign Ministry carried by the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). Calling the resolution ``a product of the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK,'' the statement said the DPRK ``will bolster its war deterrent for self-defence in every way by all means and methods now that the situation has reached the worst phase.'' Meanwhile, China's permanent representative to the U.N., Wang Guangya, on Saturday urged all parties to set store by common interests and make more contribution to peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula. Addressing the Security Council after it adopted the resolution, he said China has adopted a responsible attitude and opposed forcing through a vote on a draft resolution that is not conducive to unity and will complicate the situation.
