CUDDALORE: Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar rescued a minor girl from two abductors at P.Andikuppam in Kadampuliyur police station limits near here on Sunday. While Mr. Sanjay Kumar was returning in his official car from Neyveli he saw a girl on a two-wheeler, sandwiched between the driver and a pillion rider, shaking violently her arms and legs. The SP gave a chase and intercepted the two-wheeler. Soon the personnel accompanying the SP overpowered the two persons who were forcibly taking away the girl. On the girls' complaint the police arrested the two and booked them under Sections 323 (assault), 366 (A) (kidnapping a minor) and 506 (1) (threat) of the Indian Penal Code.
