VIJAYAWADA: Kurnool's P.V. Sharan Babu, with his impressive spells (four for 7 and five for 23) enabled his team to post an innings-and-105-run win over Chittoor in the ACA South Zone under-15 inter-district tournament at the RDT Sports Complex at Anantapur on Sunday. In another match, Anantapur registered an emphatic innings-and-195-run win over Nellore with R. Naik (five for 6) and Irfan (four for 8) bundling out its rival for a paltry 39 in the second innings. Both Kurnool and Anantapur gained five points each for their outright victories. The scores: Kurnool 287 for seven decl. (Vikram Surya Teja 115 n.o, Noor Mohammad 55, Gayaz three for 45) bt Chittoor 119 (Sharan Teja 68, P.V. Sharan Babu four for 7) and 63 (P.V. Sharan Babu five for 23); Nellore 156 & 39 (R. Naik five for 6, Irfan four for 8) lost to Anantapur 390 for seven decl. (Khaja Faruruddin 115, Naresh Kumar 95, M. Basha 89, Ashwin three for 52).
