Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) will conduct the second phase of counselling for admission to eight undergraduate courses under the single window system, on July 20 and 21, for the academic year 2006-07. A release said that on July 20, the university would hold two counselling sessions for biology stream students, one at 9.30 a.m. (for 180 candidates) and the other at 1.30 p.m. (for 187 candidates). They would be admitted to B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Sc. Horticulture, B.Sc. Forestry, B.Sc. Home Science and B.Tech. Horticulture. On July 21, the university would hold a counselling session for 258 mathematics stream students, for admitting them to B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering, B.Tech. Food Process Engineering, and B.Tech. Energy and Environmental Engineering. Students would be admitted to Diploma in Agriculture/Horticulture course (176 candidates called) at a session at 1.30 p.m. on July 21.
Call letters sent
The university had already despatched call letters to eligible candidates based on the cut-off marks for each category. Candidates who were admitted would have to pay Rs. 2,000 (Rs. 1,000 for scheduled caste and scheduled tribe) as counselling fee, through cash or demand draft drawn in favour of the Dean (Agriculture), TNAU, payable in Coimbatore.
