HYDERABAD: B. Radhakrishnan and I. Illavazhagi, both from Tamil Nadu, won the men's and women's singles titles respectively in the IndusInd South Zone carrom championship at Fateh Maidan Indoor Stadium here on Sunday. Tamil Nadu made a clean sweep in the juniors' section too with Dharani Kumar and Sri Vidya picking up the singles titles in boys and girls categories.
The results: Men's singles: Final: B. Radhakrishnan (TN) bt S. Shaktivel (TN) 25-16, 25-19. Semifinals: B. Radhakrishnan (TN) bt P.K. Shanwar (Ker) 25-3, 25-9; S. Shaktivel (TN) bt L. Suryaprakash (Hyd) 25-21, 12-25, 25-23. Junior boys: Final: Dharsani Kumar (TN) bt S. Pawan Kumar (Hyd) 25-18, 25-14. Semifinals: S. Pawan Kumar (Hyd) bt L. Silambarasan (TN) 25-24, 3-25, 25-23; Dharani Kumar (TN) bt Shiva Kumar (Kar) 25-0, 25-22. Women's singles: Final: I. Illavazhagi (TN) bt Ch. Sreenica (Hyd) 25-20, 25-19. Semifinals: Ch.
