Kakinada: The Kakinada police have unravelled the mystery behind the murder of Sakha Veerabhadra Rao,35, of Draksharama that was committed at a cloth shop here on July 8. Five persons, including Dongala Sridhar, stated to be the kingpin, have been nabbed. A motorcycle, three knives and a cellphone allegedly used for the operation were seized. Interestingly, a head constable of the Special Protection Force, Hyderabad, was allegedly involved in the murder conspiracy. The police are on the lookout for him who is at large. While four of the accused persons -- Dongala Sridhar, Kunche Sreenu, Suryanarayana Reddy and Krishna Reddy -- were arrested in the Maridammapet area here on Saturday, the fifth one, Nimmagadda Srinivas, was taken into custody at Seethanagaram on Sunday.
`Well-planned'
Superintendent of Police Battini Srinivasulu said at a press conference that the murder was well planned and even recce was conducted. Attempts were made twice on Veerabhadra Rao's life. Veerabhadra Rao was the main accused in the murder of Peddireddi Chinni a year ago. The head constable and Sridhar, close associates of Chinni, hatched the conspiracy to take revenge against Veerabhadra Rao and engaged hired assassins, according to the police.
