MANGALORE: Police authorities here have sought information about a person accused of murdering Vidyarani at a house in Mundana under the Mangalore East (Kadri) Police Station limits on July 8. Vidyarani, a resident of Jeppina Mogaru here, reportedly failed to turn up at her house on July 7 and her parents had filed a missing person complaint with the Mangalore Rural Police Station initially. During investigation, the police discovered that the house in which Vidyarani's body was found was taken for rent by Laxmana with whom she was quite friendly. Laxmana, however, has allegedly been at large since the day the crime took place and is the prime suspect. Efforts are being made to trace him, a release from B. Dayananda, Superintendent of Police, here on Sunday said. People having information relating to the case or relating to the whereabouts of the suspect can contact Mr. Dayananda on 0824-2220503 (office), 9448130100 (mobile) or Police Inspector, Mangalore East Police Station on 2220520, 9448142435 (mobile).
