BANGALORE: The Tata group, in association with The Hindu, organised the regional round of the "Tata Crucible-The Business Quiz 2006" here on Sunday. The event labelled as "India's toughest business quiz" started with a preliminary for all the 150 participating teams. Each team with two contestants faced 25 questions on various business issues. Six teams each from the Tata group category and the other organisations' category were short-listed for the finals. The team from Titan Shivram and Sunil Raj was the winner in the Tata category. The Titan team was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 60,000. The team from VSN Cyril Mathew and Balasubramaniam was the runners-up. Praveen and Prasad from Kotak Insurance and Naveen and Parinay from Covansys Ltd. were the winners and runners-up in the other organisations' category. Winning teams will compete in the national finals to be held in Mumbai on July 23. The audience, which comprised corporate executives and students, were given Titan watches and gift vouchers for answering questions. Sunday's event was the last of the regional rounds of the competition. Regional rounds were held in Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Chennai. Giri Balasubramanian conducted the quiz.
