Bus service from railway stations Sir, Passengers are grateful to the South Western Railway for improving facilities at the City and Cantonment railway stations. In addition to the lounge facilities, bus services to and from the stations are needed to coincide with the train timings. K.V. Pathy, Bangalore Extend bus route Sir, Route number 243/E- 244 which is plying between Vidyamanyanagar and Shivajinagar should be extended up to Ulsoor with a stop at Trinity Circle on both ways. A direct bus will benefit many people. Also, buses coming till Sunkadakatte only from Kempe Gowda Bus Stand should be extended up to Andhrahalli Circle. K.R. Raghavendra Rao, Bangalore Significant omission Sir, To commemorate the great saint, Basaveshwara, the Union Government, the Reserve Bank of India and the Basava Samithi released a set of coins depicting Basaveshwara on June 23, 2006. The Rs. 100-coin is only commemorative and the Rs. 5-coin is for circulation. However, the coins do not have the year of issue (2006) on the reverse and the period of the saint on the obverse. This is a significant omission and as a numismatist I feel the coins should have this information.
V.S. Yalvigi, Bangalore Bridge needed Sir, There is an urgent need for a road over-bridge at MES Ring Road at the Jalahalli level crossing. Often, traffic gets jammed on this crossing owing to the frequent closure of the gates. V.S. Ganeshan, Bangalore Asphalt road Sir, I am a resident of AGB Layout on Hessaraghatta Main Road. It connects many layouts (MEI, Kirloskar, AGB) and has become a busy road. The road is in a poor shape. It is difficult to travel on it particularly during the rainy season. Many accidents have occurred on this stretch.
