KARIMNAGAR: He is hardly six years old, but is at ease with computers. Be it MS Word, Photoshop, Power Point, photo scanning, CD copying etc, he is simply too good. At a tender age, he even types his leave letter to his class teacher on the computer and takes a printout.

Meet R. Manvith, a class II student of Planet Kids School in Karimnagar town. Son of a computer designer and a private teacher, Manvith developed interest in computers since the last one year when his father R. Damodar bought a computer.

Keen observer

While Damodar works on the computer designing brochures, pamphlets and other publicity items, Manvith watches the process keenly and tries his hand at doing the same. Initially, he started using the computer for playing games like any other kid of his age. But, later his interest grew and he started making power point presentations, storing his school curriculum and designing photos etc.

"I love playing with the computer. It is very easy. I create my own notes and designs. I developed interest in computers when I first played computer games in school during my computer class. As soon as I return home from school, I am on the computer playing games. I also key in my homework in MS Word and save for future reference," he says proudly.

. "My ambition is to become an astronaut and study the world of satellites," he says.

Damodar feels Manvith is different from others. "He has a lot of curiosity and grasps the subject easily," says the proud father. "I have plans to make him a computer expert. He's too young and I cannot send him for computer classes because of the theory involved. Once he gets a command over English, I will definitely send him to a computer institute," Damodar says.
