BSF fires back at BDR along border
BALURGHAT:
The Bangladesh Rifles on Monday fired at the Border Security Force at Laxminarayanpur in south Dinajpur district on the border. BSF sources said the BDR personnel fired at them first. They then retaliated firing two rounds. However, no one was injured.
Monday's firing is the second in 36 hours in the State with the first reported from Nadia district in which the BDR fired around 50 rounds.
The firing started at 1.30 p.m. and lasted over two hours, DIG of BSF, Malda Sector, D.V. Saraswat, said, adding there were no reports of any casualty on the Indian side. UNI,PTI
