Ashwin, Rajini steal the show

Coimbatore: Team TVS riders Ashwin Sunder and K. Rajini, both from Chennai, stole the thunder in the third leg of the UCAL Rolon National road racing championship for two wheelers at the Kari Motor Speedway in Chettipalayam, near here, on Sunday.

Ashwin scored a perfect double in Group `D' four-stroke 80cc to 110cc category. He followed it up with a splendid twin win in the 111cc to 160cc class. Pole leader K. Rajini did likewise scoring a double in the Group `C' two-stroke 111cc to150cc category and a resounding victory in the Group `B' four-stroke 111cc to 160cc class.

Venu Ramesh Kumar and Vignesh Devarajan brought some cheer to the home crowd by clinching the Group `D' four-stroke 80cc to 110cc races for novice riders.
