Uttaranchal
Staff Correspondent
DEHRA DUN: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader Ajit Singh has called upon his supporters to start working towards winning a few Assembly seats in Hardwar district in the Uttaranchal elections due early next year. Hardwar traditionally has been a stronghold of the Bahujan Samaj Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party. Addressing the first State-level conference of his party here, Mr. Singh said that the farmers of Uttaranchal were a most exploited lot and only the RLD leaders if elected MLAs could secure justice for them. Mr. Singh said the Centre's decision to import foodgrains was anti-farmer.
