Duo snatches cash bag from student, arrested

HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad police on Monday took two persons into custody for snatching Rs. 23,000 from an engineering student at State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) in Raidurgam.

The police said the duo snatched the cash bag from Vanisri (20) of Kanchanbagh when she came out of the bank after withdrawing the money.

When a Cyberabad police team patrolling near the bank noticed her weeping, some bank customers told the police that four persons had fled with her bag. "After collecting details from the student, we combed the area and nabbed two robbers. Efforts are on to trace the other two accused," Raidurgam Inspector R. Sudershan said.
