This Day That Age
The Pakistan Government has announced that August 14 would continue as the Pakistan Day and March 23 would be the National Day. Pakistan came into being on August 14, 1947, and it was proclaimed a Republic on March 23, 1956. Both days will be closed public holidays throughout the country.
