Department of Post's noble gesture

In November, the post office at Beypore was shifted to a two-storeyed building.

The senior citizens had to climb up the narrow and steep stairway for any postal transaction.

A meeting of the organisation had requested the Postal authorities to install a post box at the bottom of the staircase to spare them the inconvenience of climbing up and down the stairs. The Department of Posts has now placed a post box on the ground floor.

The Senior Citizens Organisation at a meeting held recently lauded the gesture of the authorities.
