MADURAI: Meeting college friends after a long interval is always an emotional moment. Especially so, if they are meeting after a gap of 31 long years like the 1973-75 batch of M.A Economics students of Thiagarajar College. These moments are to be treasured for eternity. The alumni meeting of the 1973 batch was held on the college premises on Monday. M. Arunagiri, Principal, presided over the function. This gathering was made possible by the efforts of K. Thukkaiyandi, V. Anbumani and N. Geetha Rani. Nostalgic feelings, academic happenings and even corridor conversations were recalled and discussed with pride.
Professors honoured
It was not all chit-chat and nostalgia as the batch mates also appreciated and honoured the professors who had moulded them into successful graduates. The alumni also expressed a desire to be associated with the academic growth of the Economics Department.
