Fee cut for merit students

THRISSUR: The Auxiliary Bishop of Thrissur Mar Andrews Thazhath has announced that there will be complete exemption of tuition fee for the merit quota students whose annual family income is less than Rs.2 lakhs at Jubilee Mission Medical College (JMMC) here.

The Auxiliary Bishop, who is also president of the JMMC Trust, said in a press release on Tuesday that the tuition fee, which would come to about Rs.1,13,000, would be collected from the public as donation. The Auxiliary Bishop said the JMMC Trust would respect the latest order of the High Court in the professional colleges Act case.
