He `comes out in public' with Exnora

Since assuming charge a couple of months ago, the Inspector General of Police, Central Zone, M. S. Jaffar Sait has been keeping himself off public functions. This was not without any reason. People, who were wondering about the absence of Mr. Sait from public functions, got a clarification from the IG himself.

At a function to launch the TVS Tollgate Police Quarters Women's Civic Exnora held in Tiruchi recently, Mr. Sait said that he was keen to get the Exnora unit at the police quarters and was working on the same. "I attach much importance to project of this order and I wanted its launching to be my maiden public participation," Mr. Sait said amidst thundering applause from Exnora volunteers, which should have encouraged the new members.
