Woman charred to death

A woman Shivarajamma, 50, got charred to death after cooking gas, which filled her flat following leakage, caught fire on Tuesday. The victim was alone in the flat at P&T Colony of Saroornagar.

Man found dead in flat

The decomposed body of an employee of HSBC Ashok Emmanuel, 30, who reportedly died three days ago, was found inside his flat at Prajay Apartments in Miyapur on Tuesday. The Miyapur police said the victim either committed suicide by consuming poison or died of cardiac arrest. Neighbours grew suspicious as foul smell began to emanate from the flat and called in the police.

Five sex workers held

The Rajendranagar police on Tuesday arrested five sex workers after raiding a house at Bandlaguda in Rajendranagar police station area.

Girl slips into sump, dies

An eight-year-old girl Afreen died after slipping into a water sump near her house in Shastripuram of Rajendranagar police station area on Monday. The victim and two other girls were playing near the sump when they slid into it. Two masons who were passing by rescued Khatija, 7, and Yasmin, 2, but Afreen got drowned.
