India-Pakistan snooker Test series postponed

New Delhi: The fourth edition of the India-Pakistan snooker Test series, originally scheduled to be held in the capital in September, has been deferred till the Asian Games.

Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI) vice-president Ravi Tandon said on Wednesday that new dates would be announced later.

``We have decided to defer the series to December but the final dates would be announced later. Originally it was scheduled from September 4-10, and now it would be in December.

``We will have to ensure that the event doesn't coincide with the Asian Games and have to take into account the availability of venues and other aspects as well before finalising the dates,'' Mr. Tandon said.

Kabaddi series cancelled

Meanwhile, the India-Pakistan kabaddi series, which was slated to commence on Thursday in Jalandhar, has been cancelled in the wake of last week's Mumbai bomb blasts. The third match was to be played at Delhi, fourth at Haryana and the fifth and last at Jaipur. — Agencies
