Honda launches Civic

Expects to sell about 600 cars in the State

KOCHI:
Honda Siel Cars India Limited, one of the manufacturers of premium cars in India, launched Honda Civic here with advanced 1.8 Li-VTEC engine and sleek, aerodynamic exteriors.
Civic will be available in manual and automatic versions — 1.8S MT and 1.8S AT. They are priced at Rs.10.6 lakh and Rs.11.6 lakh (ex-showroom Kochi) respectively.
The models were launched in Kochi by Arvind Bhatnagar, National Head, Sales, Honda Siel Cars India Limited.
Mr. Bhatnagar said Kerala was a promising market and the company expected to sell about 600 cars in Kerala. Sales in the South Indian market is expected to be around 3,800.
He said the eighth generation Civic that made its debut in India had done well and was voted the `Car of the Year' in competitive markets like the USA and Canada and the `Most Advanced Technology Car' in Japan.
