LUCKNOW: The All India Milli Council has urged the Central and Uttar Pradesh Governments that there should be no change in the status quo ante of the temporary structure at the Ayodhya complex. A resolution adopted at a convention of the State unit of Milli Council said it did not favour erection of a bulletproof wall around the Ayodhya site and the move violated the Supreme Court and High Court directives. The Council expressed dismay at the State Government's refusal to issue a fresh notification relating to transfer of Babri demolition cases (No.197 and 198). The resolution said the cases should be transferred to the CBI court in Lucknow so that justice could be delivered. The resolution asked the State Government to issue a fresh notification for transferring the cases from the CBI court in Rae Bareli to the CBI court in Lucknow. The Milli Council further demanded separate reservation for Muslims in accordance with their population in order to remove their social and educational backwardness. "Besides, Muslim OBCs should be given separate reservation within the 27 per cent quota prescribed by the Mandal Commission." It also demanded reservation for Dalit Muslims.
