Hindi textbook withdrawn

NEW DELHI: The Union Human Resource Development Ministry has withdrawn Dharmik Paramparayein aur Bhakti Darshan, a textbook in prescribed by the Indira Gandhi National Open University for M.A. Previous students of Hindi, following complaints of derogatory references to gods.

Though the decision to withdraw the book was taken some days ago, it became public only on Wednesday.
