Staff Reporter

Aim is to support children who experience difficulties in reading, writing and arithmetic

CHENNAI: Sankalp — The Open School, Anna Nagar, is offering a one-month course on `Remedial Teaching' from July 31 to equip youngsters to teach children with learning disabilities.

The idea is to provide support to school-going children who experience difficulties in reading, writing and arithmetic.

Almost 10 per cent of school-going children suffer from learning disabilities to some degree.

The course will help participants understand the development of learning skills in children, their learning challenges and its causes, and the key elements in a remedial programme.

Graduates or postgraduates with a good command over English, and good communications skills, and who enjoy working with children can apply. For details, contact Lakshmi Krishnakumar at 9444016157 or 044 - 42732947 or Rohini Ravindran at 9840980070.
