HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Government on Thursday placed under suspension IAS officer K. Mangapathi Rao, who is Commissioner, Employment & Training, on a complaint by a woman employee that he had indecently behaved with her. His suspension was announced by Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy while answering a question at a press conference on Thursday. Principal Secretary (Political), General Administration Department, followed up the announcement by issuing a formal order for the suspension. The order said that the action was being taken following a representation by a woman employee. As disciplinary action against an IAS officer falls under the Government of India's purview, the Centre has been informed about Mr. Mangapathi Rao's suspension.
