KCBC condemns attacks on colleges

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: President of the Kerala Catholic Bishop's Council (KCBC) Cyril Mar Baselius has condemned the attacks carried out on Christian institutions as a mark of protest against self-financing colleges in the State.

At meeting convened at the Major Archbishop's House, Pattom, here on Thursday, the representatives of various Christian denominations said that they would not be cowed down by such retributory tactics. The meeting termed the attacks as a challenge against the minorities in the State.

CPI(M) condemns attack

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has condemned the attacks against self-financing colleges in the State on Wednesday. In a release issued here on Thursday the party State Committee said that the new education law has won favour with all the right-thinking citizens of the State.
