9 Israeli soldiers surrounded

CAIRO: Nine Israeli soldiers were surrounded by Hizbollah guerillas in South Lebanon on Thursday, the pan-Arab al-Jazeera satellite TV reported. They were surrounded near a town on the Lebanese side of the border, said the report, without revealing further information.

Meanwhile, Hizbollah claimed shooting down an Israeli military helicopter in the border area. There was no immediate comment from the Israeli side. - Xinhua
