Transport Adalat

A Transport Adalat is being organised on July 25 at the Regional Transport Office, Yeshwanthpur, at 3 p.m. Senior officials of the Transport Department will be present to hear to public grievances.

Coaching classes

Fines imposed

The Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) on Monday levied fines on four residents of Jayanagar Rs. 15,000 for dumping construction material on pavements, according to a press release. During his night rounds, BMP Commissioner K. Jairaj found that residents of third and fourth layout in Jayanagar had blocked the pavement.

Group formed

Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) has set up a working group to prepare an action taken report on the recommendations of Captain Raja Rao Committee. The High Court on Thursday ordered the BMP to present its response on August 17, the date of next hearing. Captain Raja Rao Committee was set up to study the state of the roads in the city and suggest ways to improve them. The committee has given four reports already. A fifth report is awaited. The working group will be headed by Joint Commissioner (Works) Harsh Gupta and will comprise the Chief Auditor, Legal Advisor, Chief Engineers from all the three zones and the Project Director of Karnataka Municipal Roads Project.
