KOLLAM: Congress leader V.M. Sudheeran on Friday visited the hospital where Excise Circle Inspector S. Jayakumar, who was brutally assaulted by the spirit mafia at Kariyilakulangara last Sunday, is undergoing treatment. Talking to mediapersons, he called for a probe by a special investigation team into the incident. Mr. Sudheeran alleged that the approach of the State Government to the case was questionable.The case only exposes the nexus between a section of the CPI(M) leaders and the spirit mafia.
