CHANDIGARH: Shiromani Akali Dal president Parkash Singh Badal has dared Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh to communicate to the Election Commission that none of the Ministers and Congress leaders facing corruption charges would be named as the party's candidates in the forthcoming Assembly elections. Through a party release here on Friday, Mr. Badal was reacting to Capt. Singh's statement that no "tainted" Minister or leader would be given the party ticket for the forthcoming elections. The Akali leader challenged the Chief Minister to display moral courage to fight the forthcoming elections on the issue of corruption. Mr. Badal asked Capt. Singh to make the allegations of corruption levelled by Congressmen against each other the basis of rejection of his party's candidates. "The first person to be disqualified if this yardstick was honestly applied would be the Chief Minister himself against whom his deputy Rajinder Kaur Bhattal had levelled serious allegations."
