Lucknow: Even as rain gods continue to bless eastern region of Uttar Pradesh, Sharda river is just 2 cm away from the danger mark. Allahabad received maximum rainfall at 8 cm, followed by Mathura 7 cm, Chillaghat 6 cm, Rae Bareli 4 cm, Jaunpur 4 cm and Varanasi 3 cm, weatherman said. Medium to heavy downpour accompanied by thundershowers is forecast for the next 24 hours. A report from Gorakhpur said high humidity and temperature have made life highly uncomfortable for people.
