News Analysis
* "Celebrating football" (Young World, July 21, 2006, page 5) was a piece on the first circular miniature sheet produced by Australia Post to coincide with the recent FIFA World Cup tournament. (It is a set of four stamps in a miniature sheet and in the form of a football.) The photograph of the sheet was courtesy K. Ramarathnam, and not K. Ramanathan as was published. * In the Agencies report "Langer breaks Richards's record" ("Sport", July 21, 2006), it was stated that in the County Championship, Australian opener Justin Langer was caught at long-on by Neil Sarkar. As a reader points out, it should have been Neil (Clifford) Saker. It is the policy of The Hindu to correct significant errors as soon as possible.
