London: Zaheer Khan picked a five-wicket haul for Worcestershire to wrap up Gloucestershire on the second day allowing it just a five-run first innings lead in the four-day Division Two county championship cricket match on Friday. Chasing Worcestershire's first innings score of 271 after it elected to bat on the home ground, Gloucestershire was all out for 276 in 102.1 overs. Zaheer returned with figures of five for 74 in 23.1 overs.
Meanwhile, Kumble could not add to his one wicket as Somerset declared after piling up a massive 688, courtesy a marathon 342-run innings by Justin Langer, for the loss of eight wickets against Surrey on the third day at Guildford. The veteran Indian leg-spinner went wicketless for 127 runs in his 36 overs on Thursday. In reply, Surrey was 173 for two in 44 overs. In another division two match, Dinesh Mongia, recalled to Team India for his good performance in the county so far, was unimpressive in Leicestershire's match against Derbyshire at Grace Road. The left-hander made just one run as the host came within 53 runs of the visitors' first innings total of 386 all out. UNI
