BELLARY: M. Diwakar Babu, former Minister and Congress leader, has urged Janardhan Reddy, MLC, who has been suspended from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), to make public the evidence to substantiate his allegations against the Chief Minister and some Ministers. Addressing presspersons here on Friday, Mr. Babu said that he welcomed the "struggle" launched by Mr. Reddy against corruption and promised his support to it. Mr. Babu said that it was essential for Mr. Reddy to disclose the evidence to clear the doubts among the people on the issue. Mr. Reddy could hand over the evidence either to the Governor or to the President and ensure that the guilty was punished, he added. Referring to the delay in making public the evidence, he said that he felt that Mr. Reddy was using "blackmailing" tactics to get his works done at the government level. "If he is really serious and had evidence, let him make it public come what may," he said. About rumours that Mr. Reddy was keen on joining the Congress, Mr. Babu said the party was like an ocean and any one who accepted its principles and ideologies could join it.
