Case against Manoj Prabhakar quashed

Kochi: Providing relief to the former Test cricketer Manoj Prabhakar, the Kerala High Court on Friday quashed a cheating case against him in a lower court, stating that the criminal complaint against him was an abuse of the process of law.

In the case filed by Amitha Tea Agency, it was alleged that Balaji Cosmetics of Hyderabad, of which Prabhakar was a director, had cheated the agency by collecting several lakhs of rupees promising to give it the company's agency. But the agency was not given to it, the complainant said.
