Engineering student killed in accident

An engineering final year student K. Varun Santosh, 21, died and three of his friends sustained injuries when the car they were travelling in hit against the road divider near Khairatabad flyover in the early hours of Friday.

Woman succumbs to burns

Yadamma, 40, who was allegedly doused in kerosene and set ablaze by her husband Krishna on Thursday in their house at S.R. Nagar, succumbed to her burns while undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital on Friday. Krishna, who too sustained 50 per cent burns allegedly after setting his wife ablaze, is battling for his life in the hospital.

Realtor attacked

Two motorcycle-borne persons attacked a realtor on Ramakrishnapuram flyover on Friday. Narsinga Rao, 54, was riding a scooter when the duo, wearing helmets, attacked him, Neredmet SI T. Ravinder said. An autorickshaw driver shifted him to a nearby private hospital.

Doctors operated on him and declared him out of danger.
