Two minors held for hoax call

While investigating the incident, the Special Staff of the South Delhi police found that the number from which the call was made belonged to Mr. Behl, a resident of Mohan Garden in West Delhi.

During questioning, Mr. Behltold the police that he had left his mobile phone at home and had gone to Haryana on the day the call was made. Woman shot at

NEW DELHI: A 30-year-old employee of a pharmaceutical company was shot at by some unidentified men when she reportedly resisted their attempts to harass her near Hero Honda Chowk at Gurgaon near here on Friday.

The police said the victim, identified as Anju, a resident of Gurgaon, was on her way home when the incident took place around 4 p.m. Anju, along with two other female colleagues, had come to Hero Honda Chowk in a bus.

"As soon as she got down from the bus along with her colleagues, she heard a sound which she took for a tyre burst. The three women had hardly gone a few metres when there was another sound. It was only then that she realised that some one had shot at her. She sustained minor pellet injuries," said Deputy Superintendent of Police, N.S. Ahlawat. Eyewitnesses claimed that two men riding on a motorcycle had passed lewd comments and were harassing Anju. They further claimed that when she resisted, one of them opened fire at her. However, Anju told the police that she did not have a fight with any one. Probe demanded

NEW DELHI: Stating that citizens of Saket, Pushp Vihar, Press Enclave and Khirki village along with adjoining colonies would be staging a protest on Saturday, senior BJP MLA Vijay Jolly on Friday demanded a high-level inquiry by the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) into illegal tapping and misuse of ground water by mega malls coming up in Saket District Centre.

Mr. Jolly said he had written to A.K. Sinha, Member Secretary, CGWA, seeking his intervention. Mr. Jolly alleged that mega malls had not obtained no-objection certificates from CGWA.
