Award for Nirmala Deshpande

NEW DELHI: Gandhian Nirmala Deshpande has been selected for the 14th Rajiv Gandhi National Sadbhavana Award for this year. The award was announced by Motilal Vora, Secretary, Award Advisory Committee.

The award will be presented to Ms. Deshpande on August 20, birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi. The award has been instituted to commemorate the lasting contribution made by Rajiv Gandhi to promote peace, communal harmony and fight against violence. It carries a cash award of Rs. 2.5 lakh.
