Mudasir Gujri planned attacks on tourists, Congress rally

    Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir police said on Saturday they had arrested a top Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative who masterminded the suicide strike on a Congress rally in May and several grenade attacks on tourists in the valley. The "prize catch" Mudasir Gujri was effected a few days ago and his interrogation revealed the direct hand of Pakistani agencies in training and organising saboteurs in Kashmir, State Director-General of Police Gopal Sharma told a press conference here.

    Mudasir, who has several aliases, has been identified as Mohammad Rafiq Sheikh of Tilar Kishtwar in Doda district of Jammu. — PTI
