Water level

MADURAI: The water level in the Periyar dam stood at 124.20 feet with an inflow of 766 cusecs and a discharge of 1217 cusecs. The level in the Vaigai dam was 43.67 feet with an inflow of 730 cusecs and a discharge of 941 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit stood at 4398 mcft.

Sattaiyar dam recorded a rainfall of 10 mm, followed by Pulipatti - 3.5 mm, Kallandiri - 3.2 mm and Periyar dam - 2 mm.

Power shutdown

There will be no power supply from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 25 in the following areas owing to the maintenance work to be carried out at the Teppakulam sub-station: Teppakulam, Adaikalam Pillai Colony, New Ramanathapuram Road, Teppakulam West, Kamarajar Salai, Pankajam Colony, Anuppanadi Teppam Road, Anuppanadi East and West, Meenakshi Nagar, New Meenakshi Nagar, CMR Road, Chinna Kanmai Indira Nagar, Old Kuyavarpalayam Road, parts of Lakshmipuram, Khan Palayam, Pacharasikara Thoppu, Balarengapuram and Maina Theppam. — Staff Reporter
