NEW DELHI: Grandmaster Neelotpal Das, Woman Grandmaster Aarthie Ramaswamy, Swati Mohota and Sai Meera were among the 26 leaders with two points after two rounds of the Sitges International Open chess tournament at Sitges, Spain, on Saturday. Fifth seed R. B. Ramesh also won his second round after starting his campaign with a draw against the Netherlands' Carl Hoekstra on Friday. Prasanna Rao, who like Aarthie enjoyed a walkover on the first day, lost on the top board to favourite Russian GM Vladimir Epishin. The results (2nd round, involving Indians): Vladimir Epishin (Rus, 2) bt Prasanna Rao (1); Neelotpal Das (2) bt David Lopez Baena (Esp, 1); Joan Josep Garcia Miracle (Esp, 1) lost to Aarthie Ramaswamy (2); Swati Mohota (2) bt Vencenzo Costa (Esp, 1); Sai Meera (2) bt Jose Ignacio Canton Lanau (Esp, 1); R. B. Ramesh (1.5) bt Salvador Lluverol Torrents (Esp, 1).
