ISLAMABAD: Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, who India alleges lives in Pakistan and wants deported, does not live in this country, Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao said on Saturday. ``He is not here. However, if any proof of his presence in any part of Pakistan is provided, he will be arrested straightaway,'' Mr. Sherpao told reporters in Karachi. India said last week that if Pakistan was serious about its offer of cooperation in the investigations into the Mumbai blasts, it could make a start by deporting Dawood, and by arresting Hizb-ul-Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin. The Minister said the Indian allegations that linked Pakistan to the Mumbai blasts were ``unjust'' and ``unfounded." Mr. Sherpao said Pakistan was itself a victim of terror and was a frontline fighter in the war on terror, and that its actions had been commended by the international community.
