CHENNAI: Rarely do producers venture to make a film for children. But the producer of Prime Movie Makers, Jayeshkumar, has decided to be different. He feels his film `Ganapathy Vandachu' will become popular among children. "I want to move away from gory scenes and make a movie which an entire family can enjoy. I felt happy when director P.C. Guna came up with a script about children. It is a simple story and the movie is enjoyable till the last frame. You will believe me after seeing `Ganapathy Vandachu.'" An orphaned youngster works in a house which has many children. The children are very attached to him. But at one point, he is thrown out of the house making the children sad. They want him to come back. How he comes back forms the climax, says director Guna. "The screenplay has ample scope for stringing together interesting incidents. We have two young new faces in Uday and Madhisha as the lead pair." The film has six songs: two for children, one for youth, a devotional number, besides a melancholic number and a song for everyone. Jayeshkumar says the audio has been a big hit. "We have nearly 500 children in the film and shooting was held at the Everwin Matriculation School, Kolathur near Perambur. To make the students group interesting we have a karate tournament and a car chase. One will certainly enjoy the comedy team comprising Charlie, Pandu, Shankar and Sounder." Music score is by Prasath Ganesh.
