NEW DELHI: Parimarjan Negi started his campaign in the Politiken Cup chess tournament by scoring over lowly rated Jacob Wurtz in Copenhagen on Saturday. The youngster, who met all technical requirements for gaining the title of a Grandmaster earlier this month, is seeded ninth in the competition. Top seed Nigel Short, who worked on Parimarjan's game for over a week in Athens before this event, defeated Jeff Dawson. However, fifth seeded GM Johny Hector, rated 2508, had to settle for a draw against Joachim Thomassen.
