Pedestrian crossing for senior citizens Sir, I live in HMT Layout in R.T. Nagar. R.T. Nagar Main Road is a busy shopping area. Traffic on this road, stretching from public library to the southern end, has increased several fold in the past few years. Haphazard parking ignoring the "no parking" signs is also common here. The traffic police have not taken action although they are aware of the situation. It is a nightmare to cross this road. Will the authorities arrange to install pedestrian crossing signals to enable senior citizens to return home safe?

Road dug up, left unfinished Sir, The main road from Airport Road to Jeevan Bima Nagar has been dug up and left unfinished at a place for three weeks now. The earthmover that had broken down has been abandoned next to an open trench. The flow of traffic has been severely disrupted, flooding and slush during rain make it much worse. Should not the contractor concerned be accountable to the people?
Karthik Nath, Bangalore
Material dumped on road Sir, Construction material meant for pavements has been dumped on either side of Indiranagar 100-foot Road. There has been no progress in the work. This is causing problems to pedestrians, especially during rainy season. Even the road is in a bad condition. Sriram Deshik T., Bangalore Replace bulbs Sir, I appeal to the authorities concerned to replace the defunct bulbs in streetlights at Herohalli Cross on Magadi Main Road. There is no light on the road between the Syndicate Bank Colony and Andhrahalli Circle and the pedestrians have been put to hardship.
