HUBLI: When it comes to giving directions about a locality or a road, often one is prone to commit mistakes. But what about those people who are visually impaired? The "Vision on wheels" car rally organised here on Sunday proved that visual impairment is not an obstacle for them. More than 20 visually impaired children competed with each other in guiding drivers of the cars they were travelling in with the help of directions given to them in Braille. Thirty students of Aroodha School for the Visually Impaired had gathered at the Nehru Ground, which was the starting point for the rally. But since only 19 participants turned up with their vehicles, some were deprived of participation. The rally was organised by the various units of Round Table in the twin cities, Maruti Udyog Limited and RNS Motors. The route for the rally was Nehru Ground, Nrupatunga Hill, Madhuvan at APMC Yard, Sports Club at Dharwad and RNS Motors. All the visually impaired boys succeeded in guiding the drivers properly. No one missed the stage points. The visually impaired duo of Ravindra and Dyamappa guided the team of Manmath Shetty and Sanjay Bansali to the victory podium.
