KOZHIKODE: Calicut Airport Director R.Veeraswamy has informed that parking fee need not be paid by those vehicles that come to drop and pick up passengers. In a communication to the Malabar Chamber of Commerce (MCC), Mr. Veeraswami said parking fee would not be imposed on such vehicles. The fee would be imposed only on those vehicles that are parked in the parking area. Those who had taken up the parking contract were imposing a fee on vehicles that came to drop and pick up passengers at the airport. The MCC and the Calicut Airport Committee had lodged a complaint in this regard with the Civil Aviation authorities.
